Piccadilly trains skip Turnham Green on six autumn days, with no alternative named

Transport for London states that Piccadilly line trains will not stop at Turnham Green on six days this autumn: "Saturday 12 and Sunday 13 September, Saturday 10 and Sunday 11 October, Saturday 24 and Sunday 25 October".

The entry gives no reason, and names no alternative station or bus.

Earl's Court loses Piccadilly line trains on three of the same Saturdays. TfL states they "will not stop at the station between 03:15 and 05:45, during Friday Night Tube", on 12 September, 10 October and 24 October.

TfL's page for the Piccadilly line upgrade does not account for either set of dates. It gives the programme's purpose as to "get the Piccadilly line ready for new trains", and lists its closures as "Fri 16 (Night Tube) - Sun 18 October" and "Fri 20 (Night Tube) - Sun 22 November", both running "Hammersmith to Heathrow and Uxbridge".

The Elizabeth line has its own run of non-stops at Acton Main Line. TfL lists trains not stopping there after 23:00 on Saturday and until 09:00 Sunday on 22 and 23 August and on 3 and 4 October, and after 22:00 on Saturday 26 September.

A further Acton Main Line entry carries two dates, Sunday 18 October and Sunday 3 January, and states that "Elizabeth line trains will not stop". TfL sets the dates down without a linking word, so the entry does not say whether it covers the weeks between them.

Two more Acton Main Line dates follow, on 31 October and 1 November and on 12 and 13 December, with trains not stopping after 23:00 on the Saturday and all day Sunday.

On the Windrush line, TfL states that trains will not stop at Canada Water on 3 and 4 October, "including during Friday and Saturday Night Overground". Burnham and Taplow each carry an entry for Sunday 25 October, stating that Elizabeth line trains will not stop.

None of those entries names an alternative. TfL states on its planned closures page that "When stations are closed or step-free access is unavailable due to pre-planned engineering works, we will suggest other ways you can travel."

It does so elsewhere on the same station page. At Southwark it tells Jubilee line passengers: "Please use Waterloo station for the Jubilee line." At Barons Court it routes people to West Kensington or Earl's Court, then back through Hammersmith.

TfL's closure pages carry no figures for how many people use any of these stations. Its annual station entry and exit counts sit in a separate dataset on its crowding data portal, which could not be consulted for this story.

The nearest date is the August bank holiday. TfL's major works and events page lists "Notting Hill Carnival/August Bank Holiday" as affecting "Tube, driving, cycling, walking" in the "Notting Hill area Sun 30-Mon 31 August", and its station page still carries no entries for Ladbroke Grove, Westbourne Park or Latimer Road.
